Dundee Heritage Trust is delighted to announce the launch of a guided tour between Discovery Point and Verdant Works. The new venture is being organised alongside Tayside Historical Tours and is designed as an introduction to the eventful history of Dundee through visits to outstanding historical sites around the city centre.

The tour guide is Dr Anthony Cox, a former history fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge. Dr Cox recently established Tayside Historical Tours and says he is ‘looking forward to the opportunity to work alongside Dundee Heritage Trust in order to bring Dundee's colourful and occasionally bloody history to a wider audience.' This new venture underlines Dundee Heritage Trust continued commitment to work with other tourism partners and encourage recently established businesses aimed at increasing tourist interest in Dundee and Angus.

Mark Munsie, Operations Director with Dundee Heritage Trust commented ‘It is always good to have different options to offer visitors to the city and I'm sure these guided tours will prove extremely popular'.

The guided walk will take place every Thursday from 2pm starting at Discovery Point. It is also possible to combine the walk with visits to the award winning Discovery Point and Verdant Works by purchasing the Dundee historical pass at the above visitor centres.
